Sikh Volunteers Australia is excited to announce that two factory spaces have been purchased in Cranbourne West which will be built into a purpose built facility for the cooking of meals for the Free Food Van services.

The addition space will enable smoother operations with bigger space for ration storage, ensuring the efficient running and contribute to the ever increasing demand for its services.

For a few years since 2017, SVA had hired space from the Lynbrook Community Centre to run its operations. As demand for the Free Food Van grew, SVA subsequently moved to SCGC at Devon Meadows and had since been operated from their purpose built kitchen.

As the demand and volume of services needed have increased tremendously, especially during the COVID19 crisis support period, SVA was in need of its own commercial kitchen and storage space for logistical supplies to respond efficiently to emergency crisis across Victoria.

We would like to thank SCGC and everyone from the various communities for their ongoing support. We look forward to the continued support from everyone with this new big set-up.

We will be starting a fundraiser for this cause soon, hope to get support from everyone.
